Embark on a 3-day, 2-night adventure starting from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, where you will journey deep into the heart of Kutai National Park. This experience offers the rare opportunity to witness orangutans in their natural habitat, explore lush rainforests, and enjoy both day and night treks to encounter the park’s incredible wildlife. With comfortable arrangements at the ranger camp, this journey combines adventure, nature, and unforgettable moments in one of Borneo’s most remarkable conservation areas.
ITINERARY
Day 01 : BERAU – TANJUNG BATU – DERAWAN ISLAND (D)
Pick up service Berau Kalimarau. Then, lunch in local restaurant in Berau then continue to Tanjung Batu by car about 2 hours driving then by speed boat 30 minutes to Derawan island. Check in Cottage. Dinner at cottage, after that you can continue to walking around the island Derawan for hunting souvenirs and see turtles laying eggs (if lucky). Rest and free time
Day 02 : DERAWAN– MARATUA – KAKABAN – SANGALAKI (B/Lbox/D)
– Breakfast at cottage, the preparing everything to explore three other islands (Snourkling, Diving Equipment (must have license) , and Supplies), then towards the island Maratua, Snourkling / Diving About Maratua and Photographs, continue to Kakaban, snourkling in the lake Jelly Fish (jellyfish) / Diving around the point of the island Kakaban. Lunch Afteer that go to Sangalaki Island, Snourkling / Diving on the spot Manta Rays and photographs around the Sangalaki Island, back into Derawan Cottage. Dinner and a walk around the island Derawan hunting souvenirs and see turtles laying eggs (if lucky)
Day 03: DERAWAN TANJUNG BATU – BERAU (B)
Breakfast we have prepared. Pack the luggage and check-out Cottege, then go to the Port Speedboat. Then we take a walk around town Berau to find souvenirs typical of the area. Then proceed to airport Kalimaru for your next destination.
